HOW IT BEGAN

I certainly hadn’t planned to start a business based upon my sons fishing adventures, but that’s how this all started.

My son, now a commercial fisherman, came to me with steel pipe, couplings, & misc hardware. He needed to borrow tools to make a DYI harpoon for his Swordfish trips. So, after drilling, fastening of nuts/bolts and torquing of the parts, he made a few make-shift harpoons. We discussed creating a version with stainless steel fittings & aluminum shafts. Several prototypes were fabricated for actual testing on his swordfish trips.

This started us down the path to develop, engineer and fabricate, via CNC precision manufacturing, the “SURGICAL STRIKE STICK” harpoons, as they are today, proven & tested by Commercial Boat Captains & Fishermen alike.

The apparel clothing line originated from my daughter working at a local South Florida surf shop during high school & through her college graduation. Input from her, along with feedback from my other three children, helped me develop interest with graphic designs.

So this is where I find myself today and the beginning of the 2theSEAgear.com.
